Thabang Skwambane has done it! He has completed the Lonely Road Challenge and thus has reached his dream... the top of the mountain, so to speak both metaphorically and physically!
Having successfully riden a bicycle from Johannesburg to Kilimanjaro and then having climbed the mountain - Thabang has proven clearly that ANYTHING is possible and Dreams do come true! Well Done Thabang.... big kisses and love from the Fairy G!
Thabang started the Lonely Road Challenge a because he wanted to raise money and awareness of the plight of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Southern Africa. And while Thbang has reached his dream of completing the challenge, he still has a bigger dream to raise R 10 million for the Lonely Road Foundation, an NGO which will support projects for Orphans and Vulnerable children.
So with this bigger dream Thabang now has another worthy mountain to climb!
Thabang's dream also has two of the BIG elements that delight the universe and gets it moving swiftly to turn dreams into reality and those 2 are
1. The dream is BIG and extraordinary and big enough to evoke passion and excitement (and sometimes pure fear) in the dreamer.
2. The dream includes 'service to others' - it includes other people and making a difference for them and when a dream or goal includes this, I have found that it makes a huge difference to the ability of the dreamer to turn the vision into reality. A number of times when Thabang wanted to quit - and there were quite a few times - what kept him going was the fact that his dream wasn't just about him and for him, it was about making a huge difference in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children and that is what kept him going!
